Fight With Covid-19

Coronavirus Aka Covid-19 has become the scariest pandemic across the globe. Many people have lost their lives and many more are struggling to get recovered. Everyone on this planet is now aware of the term covid-19. For more details, you can check about covid-19 here also. Every country is fighting with this virus in her own best ways. As of now, there is no medicine is available. However, we can follow a few things to protect ourselves and our nears and dears. There are some steps that we need to follow to protect us from this demon.

  1. Social Distancing: One of the major precautions is to maintain a physical distance from one another. Others are like avoiding social gatherings, wearing a mask, greetings with our traditional method namaste & staying 3 meters away from another person.

  1. Yoga: There is no disadvantage of doing yoga. Yoga is always beneficial to us in any way. It improves our strength, flexibility, and confidence. Many studies confirmed that yoga benefits our mental and physical health.

We are in lockdown state for a long time. Due to lack of social minglings, lockdown is affecting our physiological and psychological well-being. We are now started getting relaxation with so many limitations. However, people can’t go to gyms, parks or workout together with friends. So, yoga, our ancient practice, can rescue ourselves in this staying all the time at home situation. Some yoga methods might be the best during this period according to their easiness:

    a. Surya Namaskar b.    Meditation c. Brahmari Pranayama

  2. Meditation: You can also practice meditation at home. You should try it doing anywhen between 1 min to 30 minutes.

  3. Exercise: Most of us think yoga and exercise are synonyms. But in actuality, they are different from each other. Although both of them are to improve our physical and mental health, but they are practiced in different ways. An exercise is to improve our physical activities and focus on our physical training mainly. In a lockdown, most of the people are sitting in front of their laptops for continuously 9 to 5 with exiguous physical activities. So, the exercise comes here to rescue us from the high risk of obesity and other likely health issues. Some of the exercises might be the best during this period after a long day:

    a. Jumping jacks b. Situps c. Sprawls d. Plank hold You can try different types of exercises for at least 15 minutes a day

  4. Water: Drinking warm water throughout the day helps you to fight against the viral infections. It is simply because warm water might kill virus to spread infection in the throat and lungs.

  5. Ayurvedic Immunity Booster: As all the medical studies has made it obvious that virus damages our immune system; your survival finally depends on your immune capacity. One can take a spoon of Chyavanprash in the morning because Chyavanprash helps to restore vital energy in the body. You can prepare various homemade natural immune boosters also like a herbal tea or kadha made from tulsi(Basil), Munakka(Raisin), Dalchini(Cinnamon), Kalimirch(Black Pepper), and sunthi(Dry Ginger). You can add lemon or honey according to your taste. Apart from this, there are sources of natural antioxidants in our kitchen like turmeric and ginger. You should add turmeric and coriander seeds in every cooking item.

  6. Milk: Milk is a powerhouse with so many essential nutrients. It boosts our immunity and helps us to stay energetic. You can drink hot milk once or twice a day with a half teaspoon of Haldi (Turmeric Powder). As mentioned above turmeric is a natural source of antioxidant.

  7. Nasal Application: You can also apply sesame oil or pure ghee in both the nostrils in the morning and in the evening. This helps to prevent cough and cold.

These are some of the natural methods to avoid getting sick in this coronavirus pandemic. Some general precautions should also be taken in this critical situation.

  1. News Consumption: Watching the news is useful to be aware of day to day happenings around you and the world, have consciousness. But frequent news watching, sharing panic messages related to the pandemic, reading social media opinion can cause an imbalance to your emotional state.

  1. Posture: You should always try to sit in the correct posture. A good posture for sitting is very important in work from home situation. Moreover, poor posture may hamper the blood circulation inside your varicose veins which can lead to pain in the backbone and one can become susceptible to developing slip disc. It is always advisable to do stretching for at least 5 minutes after every 30 minutes of sitting session.

 “Prevention is better than cure”.

We need to be careful not only towards ourselves but also children and elderly people. As per the CDC and WHO warnings children and elderly people are at greater risk of getting infected from the Covid-19 virus. Though mortality rate for young people are very low, but they can become a super spreader of the disease spreading it to many more by going outside from their homes. Anyone should not take any chance. People should not spread fake news to others within the community, since it will create no solution for anybody rather create more panic among them.

Challenges faced by people due to Lockdown

The sad reality is coronavirus aka covid-19 is spreading very quickly and will continue to spread for coming next weeks or even months. Covid-19 has not only increased the problem of the people, country, but the whole world looks helpless before this manometer size virus. The virus is challenging everyone irrespective of their status.

As we have earlier discussed what is a coronavirus and the state-wise stats of this on our recent blog.

Now, we are here to discuss what steps have been taken by the government recently and the challenges of the same. The Prime Minister has announced 21-days lockdown across the country. Some states have already imposed an indefinite state-wide curfew to combat coronavirus.

Lockdown is to prevent the disease from spreading. As our Prime Minister already discussed that we need to unite to breakdown the chain of the virus by maintaining the social distancing.
But this also increases the problems for the people. As the lockdown was not pre-planned, it has created a lot of problems for the people. Many stuck away from their homes and they are trying to get back to their hometowns desperately, especially the migrant workers or blue collar workers whose source of income has completely vanished due to this situation. Lockdown has not brought the same turmoil for everyone. The rich people are enjoying lockdown with their families sitting inside their houses, playing games or cooking. Whereas, for daily wage workers situation is getting worse by passing days. Because as we discussed their income becomes 0 and no enough food is available in their kitchens to fulfill the needs of their families.

1. Due to no pre-information of lockdown, people have stuck away from their houses and not able to return and. There is chaos, confusion situation like many major bus stands/highways where many people have assembled to board buses or whatever convenience is available to their hometowns(latest example is Anand vihar ISBT on 28th march night, approximately 15000 inter-state migrant workers gather to go to their hometowns Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan).

2. Blue collar workers or people who work in informal sectors where social security benefits and paid leave are an exception, not the norm. They are incompetent to fulfill their basic needs. Daily wage workers whose source of income now become nill ( eg rikshavala, thelevala) who earned 1000-1200 per day by doing their respective jobs become jobless.

3. Hooligans might create challenging situations if the government won’t be able to fulfill the needs of the people who are worst hit by lockdown decision. The problem arises with food, earning and basic commodities. In some places where water comes in water tanks, due to shutdown, people are searching for water cans. The shortage of food is now going to start as the workers working in mandis or warehouses to load and unload are returning to their hometowns. The cooked meal is provided by the government is not good for the kids, infants or old age people of their families.

Some Statistician and Experts claiming that if govt. won't be able to handle the food shortage issue among the needy people, especially migrant and daily wage workers; chances that there will be riots and mass robbery like situations in different parts of India. In case of survival, where it is difficult for their families, there had been incidents in the past, where people did not hesitate to adopt illegal paths, crimes to fulfill their basic needs. The lockdown state seems to create a similar situation for the people who have completely lost their income." statistician claims that"

Hope that all the promises made by the government should be fulfilled and not only remain limited in the paper because many time it happened. But the situation this time is very different. We all need to come together and we shall overcome this situation. The only thing matters are “Right Information pass” to everyone by all mode of information.

Coronavirus (Covid-19 ) state-wise stats and steps taken by govt

Covid-19 is spreading across the world like a ”house on the fire”. We had earlier discussed coronavirus and some relatable terms in our recent blog "https://updatescurrent.blogspot.com/2020/03/coronaviruscovid-19.html". Now we are giving you here state-wise count up to 25th March 2020.

Maharashtra and Kerala are the most affected states amongst all. The rate of death among confirmed cases is very low. Death rate depends on many factors like age and general health. Most of the people who lost their lives had some other major health issues also as hypertension, heart problems, major breathing issues. But as we discussed in our recent blog that the younger ones will become the transmitter for the disease.

Steps Taken By Government:

The government has taken many steps to fight Covid-19. Yesterday, our Honorable Prime Minister has announced 21-days lockdown across the country to break the chain of coronavirus(covid-19). And this lockdown would be similar to the curfew across the nation and section166 (6 months jail or 10,000 fine or both) is also applied if anyone will not follow the instructions. State governments and police have been given enough rights to take decisions according to the situation. The 21-days lockdown that was announced yesterday has some scientific importance also. The value is derived from the interpretation of past and present data by health experts. And he said if people will not cooperate in these 21 days, then India will go back 21 years.

Coronavirus(Covid-19)

Coronavirus(Covid-19)

The hottest topic Coronavirus(Covid-19) that unites them and teaches the meaning of humanity to the whole world. The most important thing we are learning from the current situation is “Apart from all Technical and Medical advancements, humans are nothing when nature shows its true color”. Here, we are going to explain to you almost all possible questions and doubts which come into your mind about Coronavirus step by step.

What is Coronavirus and Covid-19?

The first thing people need to understand is Coronavirus and Covid-19 (the disease due to which the whole world is suffering) are different. Coronavirus is a family of viruses. Covid-19 is one of them.

What are the symptoms of Coronavirus?

Most of the people who are infected with Covid-19 virus are suffering from fever, sore throat, difficulty in breathing, body ache. But people with good health and immunity are recovered successfully without requiring any special treatment. Patients who died due to viral infection mostly were also suffering from diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular illness, chronic respiratory disease. The risk of dying for young people are very less, but they can become a transmitter of the disease from person to person. It becomes worst when the infected person comes in contact with an elder or child of his/her family and passes the disease to them, the reason is their immunity is very less and the risk of death gets higher.

What is actual meaning of terms “QUARANTINE” or “ISOLATION”?

Now there are some terms that we are hearing continuously since the ghost Covid-19 has entered into this world like “quarantine”, “isolation”.
“Quarantine” is derived from the Italian language means restriction of movement of people and  goods which is meant to prevent mainly the spread of a disease. Quarantine is often used when there are chances of people having been exposed to a person who is suffering from a communicable disease.
“Isolation” is another big term that has been heard continuously nowadays, means steps taken to prevent contagious diseases from being spread further. As we are fighting with this deadly disease, it’s very important for us to stay away from all public gatherings and try to be isolated at our homes and take preventive actions.

What are the some worst Hit Countries by Covid-19?

Wuhan, China is the heart of this deadly disease. As the pandemic continues to spread around the world, the most powerful and developed country United States of America, now becomes one of the worst-hit countries by this deadly disease after Italy, China, and Iran. According to the recent data, Europe is the epicenter of this pandemic now. Italy has already overtaken the death toll of china. It is so badly hit by this pandemic that it has become difficult for them to overcome this situation.

Impacts of the Coronavirus on India?

The world is praising India for taking the immediate steps so far to counter the spread of this deadly virus. People arriving from other countries are extensively being screened at all international airports. Isolation wards have been set up in Govt. hospitals in major cities of India. The government is requesting people to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities and better stay indoor for the coming 14 days. State Governments have also taken effective steps by shutting down shops, schools, pubs, gymnasiums, public events, etc. and by spreading awareness among people about Covid-19 and its prevention. Telecom companies, top brands, TV-serials all are putting efforts to make people aware of the disease, especially in rural areas. Central Government has further locked down all the districts across the country that are hit by the pandemic. Several states are also heading to close their interstate borders to overcome the situation.

What are the steps to take precautions from Covid-19?

What after Covid-19?

The World Economy is badly hit by this pandemic. But this helps humans to realize nothing is more important than human life. If we together will successful to overcome this disease or Covid-19 ghost, we can improve our economy again with the help of each other. This Covid-19 will change the world forever and help humans to realize it is very important to respect our nature.
Please guys don’t spread fake news or go for fake news regarding this deadly disease. Keep political ego aside, and help the government to overcome this situation.
